H-A-N-D-S: Hire a Neighbour’s Daughter/Son

This spring, the CBBCA is launching a new service (HANDS) for residents who have work they’d like a hand with (E.g. yard work, putting in docks, cleaning up, painting, pet care, babysitting, etc.). The helping hands come from young people (10 and older) in The Bay.

It’s as Easy as 1-2-3

  1. It’s organized and supervised by adults. Parents register their kids for HANDS, the CBBCA will pre-qualify them, and then add them to the list of available HANDS youths.

  2. Residents who need help simply call the CBBCA. We will identify suitable youth(s) on the list of HANDS, contact their parent(s) and give them an outline of the work (E.g. What, when, where, how long, etc.).

  3. The residents and parents discuss and work out the details (E.g. Dates, start/end times, tools, protective clothing, transportation, payment, food & refreshments, etc.).
